Our Mission

The Dirt Riders are a Family oriented nonprofit motorcycle club dedicated to protecting, preserving, and the proper use of public ORV lands. We do this through ride parties, camping trips, political action, putting on motorcycle races, work parties, cleanup parties, and other club events. Membership gets you the inside line in participating in one or all of these things, interact with like-minded people, and build friendships that could last a lifetime. All of this focused around the thing that we all love, off-road motorcycle riding.

Community

We are all like-minded people, we love to ride off-road motorcycles. However not all of us are the same and have the same skill sets, need some help with finding new areas to ride? our members can help. Need some advice on bike maintenance and repair? our members can help. Need some tips on riding technique? our members can help. Just getting started riding motorcycle and want to know the basics? our members can help. We all love this sport, and when you are a member of the Dirt Riders you are a member of a tight community.

Racing

The Eastern Washington Dirt Riders have put on the Spring Hare Scramble at the Horn Rapids MX Park for decades. And through club growth and the want for more from our fellow riders we plan to expand our racing events back to two races a year. We use to do a Fall race event every year but due to circumstances out of our hands we had to halt that event. We are now looking to bring it and more races to Eastern Washington moving forward. To do this we need your help! It is a lot of work to put on just one race, we are looking for people interested in helping with course design, timing and scoring, marketing, parking, and more.

Volunteer

Without Volunteers we would have a fraction of the riding area we currently have in the PNW. And those areas are under threat as volunteer hours continue to shrink and government agencies are cutting paid maintenance positions for these trails. Volunteering for a work party or clean up party is a great way to preserve and build our riding areas. You will also get to know new riding areas and meet people that love to ride just like you. Our club members stay informed on all the volunteer opportunities near and far with our club and with other clubs with the same mission.

Political Action

Our love of off-road motorcycle riding is under constant threat, every year riding spots get shut down and it gets harder to get motorcycles that we all love in some areas. Stay informed about what is happening in our state and country when it comes to public lands, vehicle restrictions, and taxes. We work with other organizations like the Washington off highway Vehicle Alliance and the Northwest Motorcycle Association to keep our rights protected.
